Best Places to visit in Sedona

Sedona is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Arizona. I took a day trip and took these photos at some of the lookout points and at Tlaquepaque. I thought a short summary of places I’ve enjoyed in the Sedona area might be great for some of you who might want to visit. So here goes. . . .

Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village: This beautiful shopping center not only has unique stores with one-of-a-kind finds, but also has numerous photo-worthy spots throughout its grounds. From fountains to tiled stairs, there are exquisite artworks and outstanding architecture that are a must see on your visit.

Devil's Bridge: This stunning location requires a bit of a hike, a little over 3.5 miles round trip. Pack water, allow yourself time to make the hike back out, and be careful. The trail is uneven and rocky. It is often busy on weekends and later in the day, so going early on weekdays is your best option. You will get photos that are truly amazing!

Grasshopper Point: This area has a parking fee and sometimes the parking fills up--another get there early if you can location. The creek and and swimming hole are wonderful for swimming, cliff jumping, and relaxing. This spot can get crowded, so be sure to get there earlier in the morning and nab a spot with towels and bag to mark your territory. The photo opps here are numerous including red rocks, water shots, and greenery.

Slide Rock State Park: Known as the ultimate natural water slide, this 80-foot slide is a blast and the water is refreshing. The parking fee here is a bit pricey, so be sure to carpool and brace yourself for crowds and get there early. For weekdays, parking is $20 and goes up to $30 on weekends. You can’t take in glass containers; bring plenty of plastic water bottles, sunscreen, and towels.

Chapel of the Holy Cross: This church is gorgeous and unique, inside and outside. Built in the red rocks, the architecture is amazing. Photos don’t do it justice.

Hope you enjoyed this quick summary. In the comments below, I'd love to hear about your favorite places to visit near where you live. Enjoy your summer! Xoxo, Shelly
